BioAmarice is a feisty, enthusiastic, but immature warrior who brags her way into joining the Greek Amazons. In a battle with the Romans, the Regent Queen Ephiny saves her life, but dies soon after. This means that Gabrielle must become Queen. Amarice searches for Gabrielle and brings her back to the tribe. In the ensuing battles Amarice proves herself to be a talented fighter. When Xena and Gabrielle leave she tags along and becomes their travelling companion for the remainder of Season 4.
In Season 5 it transpires that she had guarded Xena and Gabrielle's crucified bodies. After they are resurrected, she helps Xena recover her old self and retrieves her broken chakram. She engages in a few dangerous adventures with them, becoming a lively and valuable part of the team.
Later an Amazon spirit reveals that Amarice is not really an Amazon, and she is ashamed of herself. As Amarice had guarded Xena and Gabrielle' bodies from thieves, so the spirit guards the Amazon culture from interlopers. But Gabrielle tells her that she is an Amazon sister at heart; Xena says she knew it all along. So Amarice takes heart and decides to hang around with the tribe to learn a few things.
